INTRODUCING ISSUE ILLUSTRATOR FLORINDA PAMUNGKAS

INTRODUCING ISSUE ILLUSTRATOR FLORINDA PAMUNGKAS

Florinda Pamungkas is originally from Kuala Lumpur, was educated in Spain, and now calls Copenhagen home. Fever, a flipbook designed in collaboration with her fellow graduates of Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid, was selected to feature at the 2014 PULP Festival 2014 in Marne-la-Vallée, France. Florinda's lush, storytelling-driven illustrations have also featured in Asymptote Journal, Mincho Magazine, and Mekong Review. Speaking about her inspiration to contribute to The Tenderloin’s first issue artwork, she expressed her admiration for the creation of “a thoughtful journal that aims to reach out to various kinds of readers, as well as getting personal with it (food often being a reflection of culture and family ties).”
